Lynden Christian 64, Medical Lake 40

YAKIMA — The No. 1 seed Lynden Christian girls basketball team remained undefeated (27-0) with a 64-40 victory over previously undefeated Medical Lake in Friday's 1A Hardwood Classic state semifinals in the Yakima SunDome.

With the victory, the lady Lyncs move on to Saturday's state championship game where they will face the winner of Friday's Cashmere/La Salle game at 9 p.m.

LC started off fast and led 23-7 after one quarter on the strength of three three-pointers from sophomore Riley Dykstra. The Lyncs built a 38-14 lead at halftime and led 57-26 after three quarters before turning to their reserves to finish out the blowout victory.

The Lyncs, who took fourth place at last year's state tournament, are vying for their third state title in five seasons.
