WHATCOM – The 2021 Northwest Conference All-League girls soccer teams have been announced, as voted on by the coaches.

Ferndale had four selections, two on the first team and as many on the second team. Lynden and Nooksack Valley each had one second team selection.

The Golden Eagles’ senior defender Signe Blomquist and sophomore midfielder Emily Holdridge were named to the first team. Junior midfield Christine Broselle as well as sophomore forward Audrey Holdridge were nominated to the second team.

For Lynden, junior defender Adri McLendon was named to the second team. Nooksack Valley’s senior forward Tehya Moore was also a second team selection.

Burlington-Edison swept the individual awards. Senior Sydney Reisner was named defensive MVP and fellow senior Emma Smith was the offensive MVP. Ryan Kuttel, the Tigers’ head coach, was named Coach of the Year.

As for total selections to the first and second team, Sehome led the conference with six; two on the first team and four on the second.
