This is the third of Family Care Network in NW Washington

WHATCOM — Lynden is the spot of the third urgent care location to be opened by Family Care Network in the region. The service begun on Oct. 1 is to serve anyone in the greater Whatcom County area with a minor illness or injury.

Onsite services include lab and x-ray and urgent care from board-certified doctors and medical professionals.

It is at the Lynden Family Medicine location, 1610 Grover St. Suite D-1.

The previous two of the network are in Bellingham and Mount Vernon.

Family Care Network has changed the way its urgent care centers operate by now accepting FCN and non-FCN patients at all locations.

“In the past, our urgent care centers weren’t able to see non-FCN patients,” said chief operating officer Brian Ecker. “Going forward, all FCN locations will accept walk-ins to make urgent care more accessible to all.”

The Lynden Urgent Care is an option for people suffering from a minor illness or injury like flu, colds, strains and sprains, possible fractures, ear and sinus pain and more.

“Expanding our urgent care allows us to serve a greater population who need same-day medical attention for health concerns that aren’t life-threatening,” said the organization’s CEO, Rodney Anderson. “This is a great alternative to the emergency room for meeting those needs.”

People should dial 911 or go to the ER for medical emergencies like difficulty breathing, heart attack or stroke, extremely high fever, severe trauma, broken bones, uncontrolled bleeding, poisoning, major burn and severe abdominal pain.

FCN’s Lynden Urgent Care is open Monday through Friday from 1 to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., including most holidays. More information can be found on the website at
