Taking a stand

Lynden had a demonstration of support Wednesday, June 10, for the racial justice outcry that has hit many American cities since the death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis on May 25. From left, Adri Tiesinga, Sadie Rosada and Cameo Besherse stand with their signs along Front Street near the fairgrounds. They said they had experienced some heckling and negative gestures from passing motorists as well as interest in their cause from pedestrians talking with them.
