Grand opening of revamped store Saturday
LYNDEN — Lifelong Whatcom County resident Jeremy Schuitema will have a grand opening for his new store called Clicktek on Saturday, Aug. 24. Clicktek is a renaming of the former Second Time Around Computers store in the Fairway Center.
Schuitema, who previously managed IT services for a large company in Ferndale, now aims to provide the north county with a convenient location for buying computers and electronics as well as getting full computer repair and IT services.
“This way, Lynden residents won’t have to drive all the way to Bellingham to troubleshoot a computer problem, purchase a new charging cord for their phone, or buy a new laptop”, Schuitema said. “We’re also looking forward to helping many of the small businesses in Lynden with their IT systems. That’s something we can do for them at an affordable cost.”
Whitney Schuitema is the brand manager and a partner in buying and revamping the store.
The Schuitemas have already created a play area for children in the store, wich they believe will make life a lot easier for parents coming into Clicktek seeking help with a computer or phone. “My wife Whitney and I are committed to God, family and work, in that order. So yes, having a place for children to play while their parents are talking to us about their computer, that’s important.”
At the grand opening, there will be a drawing for a free refurbished laptop.
