SUMAS — The second of 2019’s two Bull-a-Rama events starts at 7:30 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Howard Bowen Park rodeo grounds. The first show was on July 6.
A full list of competitors was not available at press time. The Bull-a-Rama also features mutton-bustin’, barrel racing, ranch bronc riding and the Northwest Renegade Cowgirls drill team.
A beer garden opens at 6 p.m. Cost of admission is $12 for age 13 and up, $6 for ages 7 to 12; younger are free. Kids weighing 60 pounds or less can participate in the mutton-bustin’ challenge of riding on a running sheep. (The weight limit was 75 before.) Sign-up begins at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $10 and only 20 spots are available.
Pre-event tickets are available at Sumas City Hall until Sept. 6.
