Event is March 26; honoring is in its 34th year

WHATCOM — Business Pulse magazine puts out the call that it’s time to vote to honor business leaders of the county. Who left an imprint on the local business and economic landscape during 2019? Who has done that across a lifetime career as a Whatcom business leader?

Nominations are now being accepted for the annual Business Person of the Year Awards, culminating with an evening dinner gala on March 26, 2020. Continuing a tradition of 34 years, Business Pulse and the Whatcom Business Alliance will recognize the deserving winners in several categories for their success and contributions to the vitality of the community.

This is the longest-running awards event in northwest Washington, begun in 1986 for recognition of excellence in business achievement.

These are criteria for nominations:

Business Person of the Year — Any leader in Whatcom County from a business or organization, either private sector or nonprofit, who represents business success and community impact.
