WHATCOM — Interfaith Coalition’s Winter Warmth Drive provides gently used coats, hats, gloves and scarves to children and adults at locations throughout Whatcom County.
To donate, bring your clean items to any Banner Bank location; the Interfaith office at 910 14th St. in Bellingham; or many congregations throughout Whatcom County. For collection sites, see www.interfaith-coalition.org or call 360-734-3983.
For neighbors in need, the donated outerwear means they won’t have to spend limited income on a winter coat, or do without.
Do you need a coat? Coats will be distributed at:
- United Church of Ferndale, 2034 Washington St., on Wednesday, Oct. 9, and Saturday, Oct. 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Church of the Assumption gym, 2116 Cornwall Ave. in Bellingham, on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
