LYNDEN — A couple looking to open transitional housing facilities near Fisher and Isom elementary schools has withdrawn its applications for assistance from the state’s Department of Corrections.

As directors of LifeHouse Foundation, Mark and Tracy Nelson had recently purchased two homes with plans to provide clean and sober housing for men on earned-release passes from prison. On June 10, the Nelsons submitted applications with DOC for the two properties be considered for transitional housing.
