Notice is hereby given that on August 25, 2020, the Everson City Council approved a conditional use permit application submitted by Kine Kombucha LLC to allow the development and operation of a hard kombucha microbrewery production facility in an existing commercial building located at 102 Everson Road within the City of Everson, WA.  

There is no administrative appeal of this decision.  Pursuant to Chapter 36.70C RCW, any petition challenging this decision must be filed with the superior court within twenty-one days of the issuance of the decision.

This notice is published pursuant to Section 16.01.130(C) of the Everson Municipal Code.

Notice of Application and Public Hearing

The City of Nooksack hereby gives notice that a conditional use permit application has been received from Nicolas Apreza to allow development of a detached, accessory dwelling unit on a property located at 1014 Nooksack Avenue in the Residential zoning district.  The property is situated in the NE ¼ of the NW ¼ of Section 29, T40N, R04E of W.M., Whatcom County and is identified under County Assessor parcel number 400429 247561.

The public comment period for this application is from September 2 through September 17, 2020.  The complete application is available for review at Nooksack City Hall during normal business hours. Written comments may be submitted during that comment period to Nooksack City Hall at the address shown below.

The Nooksack City Council will hold a public hearing regarding this proposal at Nooksack City Hall on Monday, September 21, 2020 beginning at 7 p.m.  Any person may submit written or oral comments at the hearing.  It is unknown at this time whether it will be possible to hold an in-person public hearing. SUMAS

City of Sumas

Notice of Application, Public Hearing and

Probable SEPA Determination of Nonsignificance

The City of Sumas hereby gives notice of a pending application for a conditional use permit.  The applicant is Rameshwar Mahadev Hindu Temple, which proposes to establish a Hindu temple within an existing structure on a property located at 4322 Jones Road within the Residential, Low-Density zoning district. The property is situated in the SE ¼ of the NW ¼ of Section 35, Township 41 North, Range 04 East of W.M. within Sumas WA and is identified under Whatcom County tax parcel number 410435 263340.

The public comment period for this application is from September 2 through September 17, 2020.  Written comments may be submitted during that period to Sumas City Hall at the address shown below. The Sumas City Council will hold a public hearing regarding this application at Sumas City Hall on September 28, 2020 beginning at 7:00 p.m. The complete application is available for review at Sumas City Hall during normal business hours.

The City expects to issue a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) for the proposal.  The application is being handled pursuant to the optional DNS process authorized in section 197-11-355 WAC, so comments about the environmental impacts of the proposal should be submitted within the above described comment period.  This may be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal. The proposal may include mitigation measures under applicable codes, and the project review process may incorporate or require mitigation measures regardless of whether an EIS is prepared.  A copy of the subsequent threshold determination for the proposal may be obtained upon request.
