Sealed bid proposals will be received by the City of Lynden at Lynden City Hall, 300 4th Street, Lynden, Washington, 98264, (360) 354-3446, until 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, and will then and there be opened and publicly read. Bid proposals will be opened and the results will be announced near the flagpole shortly after opening.

This contract provides for the Cured in Place Pipe Lining of approximately 1,340 feet of existing 12” host pipe beginning at Riverview Rd. and extending south along Hannegan Rd. Work will include cleaning and jetting the host pipe and placing Cured in Place Pipe Lining throughout the length of the host pipe. All work shall be in accordance with the Contract Plans, Special Provisions, the Standard Specifications, and Standard Plans. All materials, equipment, labor, and other miscellaneous items required to complete the work shall be furnished by the contractor.

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond and payment bond both in an amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Lynden. All bidders and subcontractors shall have a contractor’s license to work in the State of Washington and a City of Lynden Business License.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Lynden has cancelled the October, 21, 22, 29 and November 10, 2020 Planning Commission hearings scheduled for the following project:  Cedarbrook Planned Residential Development #19-02, Shoreline Substantial Development #19-01 and the SEPA Appeal.

Project location is commonly described as: 131 E Cedar Drive, Lynden.

The City of Lynden Planning Department (Planning Department) is withdrawing the March 20, 2020, Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS) pursuant to WAC 197-11-340(3)(a) in order to review additional information. The Planning Department will reevaluate the Master Planned Residential Development (MPRD) application, Shoreline Substantival Development Permit (SSDP) application, and its SEPA threshold determination in light of the new information.  

Any future public hearings regarding this project will follow the public notice requirements as outlined in Title 17 of the Lynden Municipal Code.
