A NEW CHAPTER 2.09 TO THE LYNDEN MUNICIPAL

CODE REGARDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A HEARING EXAMINER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Lynden Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing and will be accepting public input regarding the proposed addition of a new Chapter 2.09 to the Lynden Municipal Code regarding the establishment of a hearing examiner.

A virtual public hearing with the Lynden Planning Commission has been tentatively scheduled for December 10, 2020.  Under Lynden Municipal Code 17.09.100, the final decision for this project must be made within 120 days from the date of the letter of completeness.  Any persons wishing to comment on the application or the proposal may do by submitting their written comments to Heidi Gudde, Planning Director, 300 4th Street, Lynden 98264, by December 2, 2020, or by attending the virtual public hearing to be held at 7:30 P.M. December 10, 2020.

NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Lynden will receive public comment on proposed revisions to the Project Manual for Engineering Design and Development Standards, Resolution No. 1026, in the office of the Public Works Department, 300 4th Street, Lynden, WA, 98264, until 4:00 p.m. on Monday, December 7, 2020. The standards apply to the construction of private and public construction within the City of Lynden. NOOKSACK

City of Nooksack

Notice of Application and Public Hearing

The City of Nooksack hereby gives notice that applications have been received from Whispering Meadows Properties LLC to allow subdivision of an approximately 29-acre property located in the 1000 block of Gillies Road in Nooksack Washington.  The primary application is for preliminary plat approval of a 61-lot residential subdivision, referred to as Whispering Meadows Nooksack, Phases 2-4. Consolidated applications for a shoreline substantial development permit and shoreline variance have also been received to allow access to the site by crossing the Nooksack Slough. The property is situated in the NW ¼ of the NE ¼ of Section 29, T40N, R04E of W.M., Whatcom County and is identified under County Assessor parcel number 400429 370500.

The public comment period for the consolidated application is from November 18 through December 18, 2020.  Written comments may be submitted during that comment period to Nooksack City Hall at the address shown below. The complete application is available for review at Nooksack City Hall during normal business hours.

The City Council will hold a public hearing regarding this proposal at Nooksack City Hall on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 beginning at 7 p.m.  Any person may submit written or oral testimony at the hearing. Interested parties should contact City Hall to receive information about how to access the public hearing, which may be held as an on-line meeting requiring remote access.
