AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNDEN AMENDING SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 13.12 SEWER SYSTEM REGARDING INDUSTRIAL USERS

CITY OF LYNDEN

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR SURPLUS EQUIPMENT

OLD WATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATING EQUIPMENT AND OTHER ITEMS

NOTICE is hereby given that bids will be received by the City of Lynden Public Works Department at 505 Judson Street Alley, Lynden, Washington, 98264 (Old Water Treatment Plant), (360) 354-3446, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, 

March 30th, 2019.

Bid forms will be located on each piece of equipment in list format. Bids will be read aloud after 12:00 pm when the high bidder will be announced. Upon award, equipment should be paid for and picked up by no later than 2:00 pm that day; however, in the case of oversized items, arrangements may be made for pickup by April 15th (10 business days after notice of award). Bidder is responsible for removing/moving equipment; no assistance will be provided. Note: If item is too large to pass through existing doorways other arrangements may be made to pick up equipment during building demolition process.

For payment on Saturday at the site, cash or check will be accepted; no credit cards. For oversized items, with arrangements made, bidders may pay by April 15th, prior to pick-up, at the City Finance Department in City Hall, 300 4th Street, Lynden, Washington. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

A preview of the equipment being offered will be held Friday, March 29th between the hours of 8:00 am and 12:00 pm at the site, and on bid day between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm.

The City of Lynden intends to award to the bidder submitting the highest bid, but reserves the right to reject bids on those items that have a minimum bid amount listed.

LEGAL NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A VACATE OF CITY RIGHT OF WAY AND PUBLIC HEARING

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on February 27, 2019, the City of Lynden received an application from Tim Van Dyke, regarding the property described below: A PORTION OF THE NE ¼ OF THE NE ¼ OF SECTION 20, TOWNSHIP 40 NORTH, RANGE 3 EAST OF W.M. LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF LYNDEN, WHATCOM COUNTY WASHINGTON. 

COMMONLY DESCRIBED AS: The five feet of right-of-way on the west side of Division Street adjacent to 612 Drayton Street, Lynden.

For a vacation of City-right-of-way at the above noted location. The application was determined to be complete on March 14, 2019, and the notice of completeness was postmarked on that date.

A public hearing with the Lynden Council has been scheduled for April 15, 2019. Under Lynden Municipal Code 17.09.100, the final decision for this project must be made within 120 days from the date of the letter of completeness. Any persons wishing to comment on the application or the proposal may do by submitting their written comments to Heidi Gudde, Planning Director, 300 4th Street, Lynden 98264, by April 3, 2019, or by attending the public hearing to be held at 7:00 P.M., April 15, 2019, at the City of Lynden City Hall Annex, 205 4th Street. The Administrator named below has been appointed as Administrator of this Estate. Any person having claim against the decedent must, before the time the claim would be barred by any otherwise applicable statute of limitations, present the claim in the manner as provided in RCW 11.40.070 by serving on or mailing to the Administrator or the Administrator’s attorney at the address stated below a copy of the claim and filing the original of the claim with the court in which the probate proceedings were commenced. The claim must be preserved within the later of: (1) Thirty days after the Administrator served or mailed the notice to the creditor as provided under RCW 11.40.020(1)(c); or (2) four months after the date of first publication of the notice. If the claim is not presented within this time frame, the claim is forever barred, except as otherwise provided in RCW 11.40.051 and 11.40.060. This bar is effective as to claims against both the decedent’s probate and nonprobate assets.
