LEGAL NOTICE REGARDING THE CANCELLATION OF THE PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE PROPOSED CEDARBROOK PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT AND SHORELINE SUBSTANTIAL DEVELOPMENT 

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Lynden has cancelled the scheduled public hearing for the proposed project described below. At such time when the hearing is reset the public will be duly noticed.

Project: Cedarbrook Planned Residential Development #19-02 and Shoreline Substantial Development #19-01. Commonly Described As: 131 E Cedar Drive, Lynden

The April 9, 2020, public hearing with the Lynden Planning Commission regarding the above noted project has been cancelled. Any future public hearings regarding this project will follow the public notice requirements as outlined in Title 17 of the Lynden Municipal Code.

LEGAL NOTICE OF STATE ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY ACT MITIGATED DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on February 10, 2020 the City of Lynden received a SEPA Checklist from Francine St Laurent of AVT Consulting LLC, agent for City Bible Church, regarding the project described below:

Description of Proposal: The applicant is proposing a residential rezone from a Residential Single-family zoning category (RS-100) to Residential Mixed Density and Residential Multi-family zoning categories. Also, concurrent with this rezone, the applicant is proposing an associated master planned residential development (MPRD) on this property. 

The proposed rezone and MPRD would facilitate the construction of up to 135 residential units of various housing types and the associated infrastructure. The project is located on 21.83 acres on the northeast corner of the intersection of the Guide Meridian and Main Street in Lynden.

The proposal requests a phased environmental review as permitted under WAC 197-11-060(5) in that the rezone and the concept of the development will be considered broadly with more narrow, focused review due at a later date.

The public is invited to comment on this MDNS by submitting written comments to Heidi Gudde, Planning Director, no later than April 1, 2020, at 300 4th Street, Lynden, WA 98264.

Notice is hereby given that on March 17, 2020, the City of Sumas Shoreline Administrator Designee approved a shoreline substantial development permit allowing the Sumas Public Works Department to construct an approximately 3,000 square foot splash park within a portion of the City Park property located at 135 Third Street, Sumas, WA. 

Any appeal of this administrative decision must be filed with the state shoreline hearings board within 21 days of the date of filing of the permit with the Department of Ecology pursuant to RCW 90.58 RCW, Shoreline Management Act.

This notice is published pursuant to Section 20.08.130(C) SMC.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NOOKSACK, WASHINGTON, REVISING DOG REGULATIONS TO CONFORM TO RECENT ENACTMENTS BY THE STAT LEGISLATURE REGARDING BREED-SPECIFIC DOG REGULATIONS, AND AMENDING SECTIONS IN CHAPTER 6.08 OF THE NOOKSACK MUNICIPAL CODE.

A copy of the ordinance will be made available for public inspection in the office of the City Clerk at City Hall during business hours. The full text of Ordinance #717 will be mailed without charge to any person who requests the same.
