Lynden School District #504 will receive bids for provision of dairy products for the 2019-20 school year. Bid specifications and instructions may be requested from the District Office, 1203 Bradley Road, Lynden, WA. Bids are to be sent or delivered to the District in sealed envelopes marked “Bid – Dairy Products” by 3:00 p.m. on June 28, 2019.

The Board of Directors reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technicalities, and to accept any proposal if such action is believed to be in the best interest of the District.

City of Lynden, Mark Sandal, 300 4th St Lynden, WA 98264-1905, is seeking coverage under the Washington State Department of Ecology’s Construction Stormwater NPDES and State Waste Discharge General Permit. The proposed project, 7th Street Revitalization Project, is located at 7th Street from Judson St to south of Grover St, the alleyway between 6th and 7th Street, and the adjacent parking lot. in Lynden in Whatcom county. This project involves 1.81 acres of soil disturbance for Highway or Road construction activities. The receiving waterbody is Nooksack River. Any persons desiring to present their views to the Washington State Department of Ecology regarding this Application, or interested in Ecology’s action on this Application, may notify Ecology in writing no later than 30 days of the last date of publication of this notice. Ecology reviews public comments and considers whether discharges from this project would cause a measurable change in receiving water quality, and, if so, whether the project is necessary and in the overriding public interest according to Tier II anti-degradation requirements under WAC 173-201A-320. LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING LYNDEN’S SHORELINE MASTER PROGRAM

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Lynden Planning Commission will be holding a joint public hearing with the Washington State Department of Ecology (DOE) and will be accepting public input regarding the proposed update to the Shoreline Master Program.  This update will include relevant changes from Ecology’s periodic review checklist and incorporate Ecology’s required and recommended changes to the comprehensive Shoreline Master Program proposal. 

A joint public hearing with the Lynden Planning Commission and the Washington State Department of Ecology (DOE) has been scheduled for July 25, 2019.  Any persons wishing to comment on the proposal may do so by submitting their written comments to Heidi Gudde, Planning Director, 300 4th Street, Lynden, 98264 by July 19, 2019, or by attending the public hearing to be held at 7:30 P.M., July 25, 2019, at the City of Lynden City Hall Annex, 205 4th Street.  Persons with questions regarding the update may contact Heidi Gudde, Planning Director at 354-5532.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNDEN, COUNTY OF WHATCOM, AMENDING CHAPTER 9.32 LYNDEN MUNICIPAL CODE TO ALLOW THE PROHIBITION OF ANIMALS FROM PARADES AND SPECIAL EVENTS AND PROHIBITING ANIMALS FROM THE ANNUAL RASPBERRY FESTIVAL.
