DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on June 20, 2019 the City of Lynden received a SEPA Checklist from Mark Sandal, Project Manager for the City of Lynden, regarding the project described below:

Description of Proposal: The project is an upgrade of the existing roadway, pedestrian facilities and City utilities along 7th St between Judson St Alley and Grover St. The upgrades will include ADA pedestrian facilities, a new stormwater drainage system, new roadway and street parking, new water main with hydrant and water facilities, and landscaping with street trees, lighting, and signage.

Project Location: Downtown Lynden, on the existing 7th St right of way between Judson St Alley and Grover St. 

After reviewing the environmental checklist and other information on file with the agency, the City of Lynden has determined that this proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment should standard conditions be met. Copies of the DNS are available from the City of Lynden, 300 4th St., WA. The public is invited to comment on this DNS by submitting written comments to Heidi Gudde, Planning Director, no later than July 24, 2019, at 300 4th Street, Lynden, WA 98264.

SMALL WORKS ROSTER

LYNDEN SCHOOL DISTRICT #504

 

Lynden School District #504 solicits interested, licensed contractors for inclusion on its Small Works Roster. This invitation is in accordance with RCW 28A.335 and RCW 39.04. This roster will identify those qualified contractors interested in submitting proposals on projects estimated to cost not more than $300,000. Qualified contractors not already registered with the district purchasing services department are required to submit an application for inclusion on the Small Works Roster. All contractors on the current roster will be required to submit a letter of continued interest on business letterhead for Lynden School District’s consideration for inclusion on the 2019 Small Works Roster, an updated application indicating the information that has changed if applicable, and a Category of Interest Form. All forms are available on the District’s website at www.lynden.wednet.edu.

Notice of Public Comment Period and Public Hearing

 

The City of Everson hereby gives notice of a pending application for a comprehensive plan map amendment to change the future zoning designation within a portion of the City’s designated urban growth area to establish a future Residential-7500 sub-zone, and hereby gives notice of two pending applications for comprehensive plan map amendments and site-specific rezones affecting several properties within downtown Everson. These rezone proposals include rezoning a portion of one property from Recreational Open Space to Residential-Multiple Use, rezoning one property from Recreational Open Space to Commercial, rezoning one property from Residential to Commercial, rezoning several properties from Commercial to Residential-Multiple Use, and rezoning several properties from Residential to Residential-Multiple Use.

The City hereby gives notice that July 10, 2019 marks the beginning of the 60-day public review period required by the state Growth Management Act. Written comments will be accepted through September 10, 2019. The Everson City Council will hold a public hearing on the proposed comprehensive plan, map amendments and site-specific rezones on September 10, 2019 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Everson City Hall. Any party may submit written or oral testimony at the hearing.
