NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Lynden Planning Commission will hold a public hearing and will be taking public input regarding the proposed Pepin Creek Sub-Area Rezone.
Description of Proposal: The Pepin Creek Subarea (PCSA) Rezone proposal officially rezones those properties that are within PCSA and the current City limits to line up with the approved and adopted Pepin Creek Subarea Plan. The Pepin Creek Subarea Plan was adopted by City Council in March 2020 and provides guidelines, within the subarea, for the development of residential areas, recreational opportunities, traffic circulation, and connections to existing neighborhoods.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Lynden has proposed a rezone of property within the Pepin Creek Subarea and the existing City Limits to line up with the previously adopted Pepin Creek Subarea Plan.

After reviewing the above listed documents and other information on file with the agency, the City of Lynden has determined that this proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment should standard conditions be met. SUMAS
Notice of land for lease
The City of Sumas has approximately three- and one-half acres of land available to lease for purposes of growing agricultural crops. The lease would be for an approximate ten-year lease period beginning January 1, 2021 and terminating December 31, 2030, covering 10 growing seasons. The land is located on the south side of Harrison Street in the City of Sumas. The land is currently field/pastureland.
Bids must be received at Sumas City Hall, 433 Cherry Street, Sumas, WA 98295, on or before 4:00 pm on January 08, 2021. The minimum bid price is $50.00 per year.
Each bid must state the bid price per year for the entire property, along with the bidder’s name, address & phone number. Execution of a written lease agreement satisfactory to the City is required. A copy can be made available for review upon request. The City reserves the right to reject all bids.
