NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on November 30, 2020, the Design Review Board of the City of Lynden, received an application from Tim VandeVegte, regarding the property described below:

Description of Proposal:  

A rezone proposal on the subject parcel (~28 acres) from RS-100 (Single family residential – 10,000 sq ft minimums) to RMD (Residential Mixed Density) and a subsequent 94 lot long plat proposal. The long plat proposal includes the removal of existing farm structures (house, barns, and outbuildings) and the new construction of access roads and utility extensions. There are identified critical areas and their buffers on the property that are intended to be avoided.

Notice of Application and Public Hearing

The City of Everson hereby gives notice that on November 25, 2020 a consolidated application for a conditional use permit and zoning variance was received from Cole Hilton to allow a reduction in the required number of off-street parking spaces, an increase in the allowable lot coverage, and a reduction in the required rear yard setback in conjunction with a proposed expansion of the Bourbon Bar and Grill located at 108 W. Main Street within the Commercial zoning district.  The subject property is situated within the SE ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 30, T40N, R04E of W.M., Whatcom County, WA within the City of Everson.  The Assessor’s parcel number is 400430 216009.

The public comment period for this application is from December 16 through December 31, 2020.  The complete application is available for review at Everson City Hall during normal business hours. Written comments may be submitted during the comment period to Everson City Hall at the address shown below.  

The Everson City Council will hold a public hearing regarding the requested conditional use permit and zoning variance at Everson City Hall at 7:00 p.m. on January 12, 2021.  At this time, it is anticipated that the public hearing will be held virtually.
