Gale Senti

Gale Senti, age 77, was ushered into the presence of Jesus on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at Silverado Care Center in Bellingham.

Gale was born Sept. 27, 1941, in Dispatch, Kansas, to parents Harold and Gertie (Folger) Senti. Gale attended Oak Creek School and graduated from Downs High School. Gale enlisted into the U.S. Army in 1961. He graduated from Dordt College with a Bachelor of Arts degree, then attended Western Washington University for a fifth year. He married Gladys Roosma on Aug. 14, 1968.

Gale was a teacher in Prinsburg, Minnesota, and Hull, Iowa, and a painter/drywaller in Lynden when the family moved here. Gale enjoyed woodworking and reading in his quiet time. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. Gale loved talking about his Kansas home, his family and his grandchildren. He took genuine interest in getting to know people for who they were, and he enfolded people who seemed to be left out. Gale held on to a deep gratitude for God’s amazing grace in Christ.

Gale was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Gertie Senti; and brothers Gary and Larry.

Gale is survived by his wife, Gladys; children Chris and Jeana Senti of Caledonia, Michigan, Joel and Shauna Senti of Lynden, and Mitch and Rochelle Senti of Bellingham; grandchildren Clayton, Lincoln, Gabriella, Sophie, Sam, Joshua, Jovi, Johnathon, Elisha and Peter. He will be greatly missed by siblings Bob and Eve Senti of Downers Grove, Illinois, and Karen Clavadetscher of Billings, Montana; and in-laws Dave and Marj Van Boven, Jerry and Joyce Libolt, Ron Roosma, Keith and Roxie Roosma, Jo Senti and Janet Senti.
