David VanDyke, son of Henry and Priscilla VanDyke, died May 6 in Sunnyside, Washington.

  Born March 5, 1924, and raised in Lynden, Dave graduated from Lynden High School in 1942. After serving in World War II, he married Betty Sebens. They subsequently moved to Grandview, where Dave barbered and owned a painting company.

  He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, and a son, Wayne.

  He is survived by his siblings in Lynden: Paul VanDyke, Ruth Hyink and Helen Taylor; his four children and a loving family.
