LYNDEN — A proposed update of the Master Plan of the Lynden Regional Parks and Recreation District will be up for public hearing at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, in City Hall Annex, 205 Fourth St., at the monthly district commissioners meeting.

The District Master Plan is a way of planning for the long-term future projects of the district. The plan looks for areas where the district can implement and improve parks and recreation for citizens. The plan focuses on maintaining the quality of parks and recreational opportunities of the district, which is identical in boundaries to the Lynden School District.
