LYNDEN — Find out about the Nooksack River Floodplain Integrated Planning (FLIP) process at a meeting Wednesday, Jan. 15, in the BP Place building (use Gate 2) on the Northwest Washington Fairgrounds.

The two-hour open house format begins at 6:30 p.m. From 7 to 7:30 p.m. will be a presentation and opportunity for questions.

FLIP is a local planning process to update and broaden the 1999 Lower Nooksack River Comprehensive Flood Hazard Management Plan. The integrated effort addresses flooding, salmon needs and floodplain land uses.

Give your input to identify and prioritize potential projects. The focus will be on the mainstem river downstream of Deming.
