Noon music

The Jansen Art Center, 321 Front St., hosts free live noon-hour entertainment on Wednesdays in the Piano Lounge. It’s Lorraine Robinson on April 3.

Thursday music

The Jansen Art Center brings regional musicians to the first-floor Piano Lounge each Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., with the Firehall Cafe open. Coming up are “human jukebox” Scrub Hubner on March 28 and performing duo Joe and Carol Young on April 4.

Hot breakfast

The Lynden Community Center, 401 Grover St., serves a hot breakfast from 8 to 9 a.m. each Wednesday for $5.

Honors recital

The Lynden Music Teachers hold an Honors Recital for upper-level students at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 28, in Third Christian Reformed Church, corner of Sixth and Liberty streets. The representative to state honors recital will be announced, also students who scored high on theory testing back in January.

Vietnam veterans

day at museum

Friday, March 29, is Vietnam Veterans Day at the Lynden Pioneer Museum, 217 Front St. Veterans, family and friends may tour the museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at no cost. A light lunch and cake will be served at 1 p.m. Details: 360-220-5676.

Young adults

STIR Worship Night for ages post-high to 30s, either single or married, is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 29, in Sonlight church, 8800 Bender Rd., Lynden. Enjoy fellowship and hear from guest speaker Mitch Senti. Goal is to reach young adults in Whatcom County. Details: stir@sonlightchurch.com.

Pancake breakfast

The Lynden Community Center does a breakfast of pancakes with also biscuits and gravy from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at 401 Grover St. Adults $6, children $3. Proceeds benefit the center. Details: 360-354-4501.

Teen Alt Reads
