WHATCOM ­— County Emergency Management has set an “after the flood” public informational meeting for 10 a.m. this Saturday, Feb. 8, at Nooksack Valley High School, 3326 E. Badger Rd.

  It will be to hear from county officials and residents about last weekend’s “Super Bowl Flood” and to have plans for recovery, according to a press release from the county. 

  Areas to be covered will be: impacts on homes, businesses, roads and infrastructure; debris management; and the county’s flood damage and planning permit process.

  New County Executive Satpal Sidhu will be present, as will representatives of the county sheriff’s, public works, and planning and development departments. Questions will be taken.

  Also, representatives of Washington Gov. Jay Inslee and 1st District Rep. Suzan DelBene will be present to give federal and state government input.
