Western men into National Semifinals; Women lose in semifinals but offer tribute to NV grad Erika Ramstead

The day after the Western Washington University women lost in its National Semifinals basketball bid, the men advanced to the semifinals by defeating Florida Southern University 96-82 in Louisville on Thursday evening.

The women, after winning its quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday against Nova Southeastern University (Florida), fell to Ashland (Ohio) in San Antonio on Wednesday.

In the men’s quarterfinal game, John Allen led with 22 points and Austin Bragg added 17 points and 14 rebounds as the Vikings led the entire game.
