Arthur “Earl” Hickey

Arthur “Earl” Hickey, age 87, of Bellingham, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010.
  He was born to Arthur and Edith (Marr) Hickey, a grandson of Lynden homesteader Michael Hickey. Earl married Pearl Sorensen on Nov. 8, 1942.
  Earl was enjoying his retirement activities, including gardening and wood carving with his friends at the Ferndale Senior Activity Center. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and he will be greatly missed.
  Earl was preceded in death by his parents; sister Hazel De-Vries; and brothers Glenn, Jack and Paul Hickey.
  He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Pearl Hickey; daughter Bonnie Lawrence; sons Michael (Terry) Hickey and Earl “Pat” Hickey; brothers George and David Hickey; sister Mary (George) Eiene; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and other family members.
  A memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at 2 p.m. in the Moles-Greenacres Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a reception at the Ferndale Senior Activity Center.
