Lisa Marie Stauffer and Eric James Van Beek announce their engagement and plans for a March 1, 2010 wedding at Kaanapali in Maui. Lisa is a daughter of John and Nancy Strachan of Lynden. She is a graduate of Lynden High School and is employed at Peoples Bank as an assistant branch manager. Eric is a son of Ken and Narlene Van Beek of Lynden. He is also a graduate of Lynden High School and is employed as a journeyman plumber at Andgar Corporation. The marriage proposal took place at St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
