LYNDEN -- Dr. Matthew Yeh, a Lynden orthodontist, is building a new 11,000-square-foot retail and office building in Bender Plaza.
Yeh, who has practiced in Lynden for six years, said it was time to have his own space and that building something small just didn’t make sense.
The two-story building next to The Nuthouse Grill on Aaron Drive will have approximately 5,500 square feet on each floor. Yeh will use 2,500 square feet on the second floor, but the rest of the space is available for leasing.
He said that the second floor will remain office or professional space, while the main floor is open for retail.
John Van Dalen, general contractor, said that he expects the building to be ready to occupy in late 2008.
The building will retain a Dutch theme, similar to the rest of Bender Plaza.
