HEARTBREAK: Lions fall to Anacortes in semifinals

The plays on offense were there. The Lions had a good game plan set and had open shots throughout the night. However, in Lynden’s heartbreaking 52-44 loss to Anacortes in the 2A state semifinals, there’s a pair of numbers in particular that haunted the Lions on Friday night.

Those numbers were 30.4 and 39, representing the Lions’ shooting percentage and number of missed shots against the Seahawks. Lynden finished the night 17-56 from the floor.
