LEGAL NOTICE OF DECISION REGARDING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on October 7, 2013, the Lynden City Council approved a Comprehensive Plan Amendment request from Peter Blankers for the property described below:

LOT 1 OF THE FAIRSIDE PLAZA LOT LINE ADJUSTMENT NO. 6 AS PER THE MAP THEREOF RECORDED IN THE AUDITOR’S OFFICE AF #2110302490, LOCATED IN WHATCOM COUNTY, WASHINGTON.
ALL SITUATE IN WHATCOM COUNTY, WASHINGTON.

COMMONLY DESCRIBED AS:
285 18th Street, Lynden.

Requesting an amendment to the comprehensive plan to rezone approximately 0.93 acres from Local Commercial (CSL) to Multi-Family Residential (RM-4) at the above noted property. The application was determined to be complete on May 30, 2013, and the notice of completeness was postmarked on August 2, 2013.

Under Lynden Municipal Code 17.09.100, the final decision for this project was made within 120 days from the date of the letter of completeness. A public hearing was held by the Planning Commission on September 12, 2013. The City Council considered the consistency of the application with the requirements of the Lynden Municipal Code, and approved the request at the October 7, 2013 City Council meeting
